 Postnatal exercise For MumJoin Steph, our antenatal movement teacher, for a new postnatal class in safe movement and emotional healing for the postnatal period.
This is an evening mums only class so a chance for you to let your partner or a relative look after your lovely new baby, while you get a little bit of me-time! If you would like to 60 minutes of exercise, relaxation, and a chance to meet other new mums, then this is the class for you!
(Ladies who wish to attend a class with their baby should sign up for our daytime Daisy Baby classes, as these include play for baby and exercises for mum!)
For Winter 2011 our Postnatal classes will be specially Bollywood themed, taking inspiration from Indian dance including Belly Dance. (Please rest assured, nobody will be baring their tummies in class though!)
Through movement and dance we will help mums to reconnect with their abdominal and pelvic area, and let go of any tensions held physically in the back and shoulders.
The classes also include a postnatal relaxation helping mum to unburden herself of anxieties and pressures through breathing reminiscent from our antenatal classes.
All classes last 60 minutes, just ensure you are wearing comfortable clothes.
For Mums only. Please make sure you will have had your 6 week postnatal check with a GP (and gotten the all clear for exercise) before attending this course. Ladies who have had a C-Section should wait until 10 weeks postnatal. If you are unsure please contact me at steph@bumpbirthandbeyond.co.uk
